Baylor Businesses: Creating a Lasting Impact

April 27, 2021

We know them and love them – Baylor alumni-owned businesses in our communities across the nation. Perhaps the corner boutique, grocery, or business development group, regardless of the industry, daily, Baylor alumni working in all fields fling their green and gold daily by applying the lessons and leadership skills learned at Baylor to their work.

In an effort to recognize the contributions of these businesses to their communities, the John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship recently announced the inaugural Baylor Impact Awards, now accepting nominations.

These awards aim to recognize alumni-owned businesses making a difference across the nation in eight unique categories:

  • Fastest Growing Business Awards
  • Dean's Award
  • Texas Family Business of the Year Award
  • Recent Alumni Award
  • Diversity Award
  • Great Commission Award
  • Community Commitment Award
  • Waco's Finest Award

The public is invited to nominate Baylor alumni-owned and led businesses that have a proven record of success and represent their alma mater through their operations. Nominees will be invited to apply during the application period. Self-nominations are more than welcome. There is no application fee.

Finalists will be notified, and the grand prize winners announced at a special Awards Gala. A company can win a maximum of two awards across all categories.
